I worked for Starbucks while I was a student at university.  One aspect I found interesting pertained to the beautiful gift cards.  Each card was a piece of artwork and seemed to share a little story about the company.  It seemed a shame to throw away a used card once the money had been spent.  Therefore, instead of discarding the gift cards, I thought about how they could be repurposed.  

 

Cards could be placed together to create an entirely new piece of art.

An old coffee table portraying used coffee gift cards is an excellent talking point.

I am now trying to utilise the mentality of "create something out of nothing."  As the old saying goes - one person's rubbish is another person's treasure.
